The Cycling Nutrition Planner data field for Garmin can be used to get your nutrition plan on your Garmin Edge device and to get notifications when to eat and drink. In this article we explain how you can install the data field on your Garmin.
Compatible devices
The Cycling Nutrition Planner data field can be used on a number of Garmin Edge cycling computers with touchscreen:
- Edge 1040
- Edge 1030 (Plus)
- Edge 840
- Edge 830
- Edge Explore 2
Other Garmin Edge device are not compatible because either their firmware is too old (e.g. Edge 820) or they don’t have touchscreen (e.g. Edge 540). On the Edge 530 and 540 and some older smart watches you can use the Cycling Nutrition Planner widget. For modern smart watches you can use the Simple Nutrition Planner data field.
How to install the Cycling Nutrition Planner data field
- Make sure you have the EatMyRide mobile app.
- Make sure you have the Garmin Connect IQ app installed on your smartphone. Then download the data field from the Garmin Connect IQ store.
- Garmin puts your download in a queue. Sync your Garmin device until the Connect IQ app states that the app is downloaded.
