On the Carbohydrate Burn / Intake Balancer for Garmin you can track your burn and intake during your ride. To properly track your burn, the data field needs your profile data. In this guide we explain how you can sync your profile data from the mobile app to the data field on your Garmin

How to sync your profile data to the data field

Make sure you have the Carbohydrate Burn / Intake Balancer data field on your Garmin Edge device. Also, make sure you have filled in your VO2Max or FTP as well as your weight in the EatMyRide mobile app. Then, perform the following steps:

  1. In the EatMyRide mobile app go to Home > Garmin apps and select the Carbohydrate Burn / Intake Balancer.
  2. Select Sync profile data. Follow the steps in the mobile app to sync your data to the data field. The mobile app will try to get connection with the data field via Bluetooth. Make sure your Garmin device is powered on and Bluetooth on your phone is turned on as well.
  3. When the profile data is synced, both the mobile app and the data field (if opened on the Garmin) will show a confirmation that the synchronization was successful.

After your your profile is synced, the Carbohydrate Burn / Intake Balancer knows your VO2Max and weight and it uses this information to estimate your metabolism during your rides. Based on your metabolism your carbohydrate burn can be estimated.
